PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Febuxtree 40 Tablet is a medicine used to treat and prevent gout. Gout occurs when there is too much uric acid in the body, leading to the formation of crystals around the joints, causing pain and swelling. This medicine helps to keep uric acid levels low.
Febuxtree 40 Tablet can be taken with or without food. Continue taking it as recommended by your doctor, even if you are not experiencing a gout attack. Stopping the medicine may worsen symptoms due to the formation of more crystals in the joints. Lifestyle changes such as avoiding alcohol and non-vegetarian foods and drinking plenty of fluids can help improve results.
Common side effects include liver function abnormalities, nausea, joint pain, and rashes. You may experience a temporary increase in gout symptoms (sudden severe pain, warmth, and redness in the joint) when starting the medicine. Do not discontinue the treatment. Your doctor may prescribe pain relievers or additional medicines to manage these symptoms. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice signs of liver problems such as persistent nausea, dark urine, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have heart disease, a history of stroke, thyroid problems, kidney disease, or liver problems. It is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor. Regular blood tests may be required to monitor liver function.
